Algoa Flight Centre is based at the Port Elizabeth Airport, and offers professional fixed wing flying training from private pilot to airline pilot licence. The flyng school is a CAA accredited PPL test centre, and is owned and operated by Algoa Flying Club.
Fixed Wing Training Fleet:
- C152 – still one of the most popular training aircraft in the world.
- C172 – four place high wing aircraft, general purpose aircraft, cross country flying.
- C72R – Cutlass 172RG, retractable-gear version of the 172, instrument training for a Commercial Licence.

Algoa Flight Centre is a CAA accredited PPL test centre, which is owned by the Algoa Flying Club. The Club and Flying School is based at the Port Elizabeth Airport, and offers private pilot licences and other courses and ratings.
Basic Flight Training:
- Private Pilot Licence (PPL) – course requirements are a minimum of 45 hours flying lessons including 15 solo hours; minimum age for acquiring a Private Pilot Licence is 17 years; part time or full time training.
- Night Rating – allows you to do night flying; adds greatly to your flying skills;
Conversions to Type – converting to other types of aircraft; familiarisation training on other aircraft;
