FTS is located at the Grand Central Airport in Midrand, and specialises in a comprehensive training service that starts from the entry level Private Pilot Licence (PPL), through to the Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) licence. For practical training, the flying school provides Cessna 172′s, Piper P28A’s, Piper Twin Comanche and a Piper Arrow PA28-200R.

Training Services:

• Computer Based Training – comprehensive software training programs from the UK (Oxford).
• Student Pilot – first formal qualification required.
• Private Pilot Licence (PPL) – allows you to be Pilot in Command (PIC) of an aircraft and to carry passengers.
• Night Rating – fly in reduced visibility and night flying.
• Instrument Rating – capable of flying, navigating and landing in bad weather conditions.
• Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) – enter the commercial and airline world of aviation.
• Multi-Engine Rating – twin engine aircraft.
• Instructors Rating – allows the commercially rated pilot to act as an instructor on endorsed aircraft.
• Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
