Base 4 Aviation was founded in 2001, and it’s aim was to create a one stop helicopter business, fulfilling the needs and requirements of any helicopter related issues. They also opened the Flight Academy to assist flying enthusiasts to obtain their pilot licences.
Base 4 Flight Academy is a CAA accredited Aviation Training school that offers helicopter licence courses, and all training is indertaken from the General Aviation Area at Cape Town International Airport.
Training School Courses:
- Private Pilot Licence – first basic course in obtaining a licence for recreational flying or as first step to becoming a professional Commercial Pilot.
- Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) – by obtaining the CPL(H), you are employable and can start working for money as a helicopter pilot.
- Ratings – Night Rating, Instructors Rating, Instrument Rating, Game Capturing Rating, Sling Rating.
