Rainbow Airschool.com is is CAA and RAASA Accredited, and specialises in Light Sports Fixed Wing and Microlight Training. The flying school is based at the Vereeniging Airfield in Midvaal, the Circus Airfield near Johannesburg, the Ladysmith Airfield near the Drakensberg in KwaZulu-Natal.
Experienced instructors give full time and part time courses in Light Sports Aircraft; Weight Shift Microlight / Ultralight; Conventionally Controlled Microlight / Ultralight.
Microlight licenc Requirements:
- Must be older than 16 years (17years to go Solo).
- 25 Hours (minimum) Total Flying, of which 15 hours must be Solo.
- Class 4 Medical.
- Have a good command of the English Language.
- Restricted Radio Licence.
- Flight and Navigation Test.
- 6 Theory Exams (Air Law / Principles of Flight / Engines and Airframes / Meteorology / Human Performance Limitations / Navigation).
