Foster Aero Training Acadamy is based at the Lanseria International Airport in Gauteng, a busy environment which is a challenge to students, but will enable them to get accustomed to real world air traffic from an Air Traffic Control Centre that is manned 24 hours.

The Foster Aero Training Academy was established in 1994, and is a small, boutique training company based at the Lanseria International Airport. Students will be able to train in a busy, challenging environment and get accustomed to real world air traffic from a 24 hour manned Air Traffic Control Centre.
Training Services:
- Private Pilot – allows you to be Pilot In Command (PIC) of an aircraft and to carry passengers.
- Commercial Pilot – employable professional pilot.
- Air Transport Pilot – professional pilots, decision makers and bearers of heavy responsibility in a high-technology environment.
- Night Rating – conduct or continue a flight during hours of darkness, less restricted when planning and executing a particular flight.
- Instrument Rating – flying allowed in IFR weather conditions that are below the minimums required for flight under Visual Flight Rules (VFR).

Aeronav Academy flying school is based at Lanseria International Airport, North of Johannesburg in country surroundings, but with controlled airspace that provides the student with an excellent grounding in procedures. It is perfect for training from ab-initio through to commercial licence training.
CPL Training requirements:
- Must be holder of a South African Private Pilot Licence with night rating.
- No less than 18 years of age.
- Holder of a General Radio Licence.
- 200 Hours of flight time.

Aeronav is based at Lanseria International Airport, and offers flying and ground school training for the Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). The flying school provides a varied fleet of aircraft to accommodate all types of flight training, as well as a team of dedicated flying instructors.
PPL Training:
- 17+ Years old.
- Minimum of 45 hours flight training.
- 20 Hours of the 45 hours must be dual instruction including 3 hours of cross-country to airports more than 50 miles away; 5 hours of instruments; 3 hours of instruction within 60 days prior to your practical test.
- 15 Hours of the 45 hours must be solo flight including 5 hours of solo cross-country including a 150 nautical mile round trip; 3 take-offs and landing at an airfield with a control tower.
- Examinations – private pilot knowledge test with a score of 75% or better; 7 CAA on-line examinations; practical flight test with an SACAA-approved examiner.

Aeronav Acadamy was accredited by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (CACAA) as a Flight Training School in 2005. The flying school specialises in a range of courses, licences and ratings, and their fleet of aircraft include Diamond DA20, Cessna 182’s and a Diamond Twinstar Multi-engine.
