Blue Chip Flight School is based at Wonderboom Airport Main Terminal Building, and is an established flight training school that offers dedicated instructors, reliable fixed wing aircraft, in-house flight simulator, and an accredited test centre.

Fixed wing training aircraft include 11 Cessna 172 Skyhawks for ab initio training, 1 Piper Arrow (200 Hp) for advanced training and a Baron Be 55 for multi engine ratings.

Fixed Wing Training:

  • Private Pilots Licence (PPL) – pleasure or career.
  • Night Rating – can act as pilot in command of an aircraft after official sunset until sunrise.
  • Instrument Rating – for bad weather conditions.
  • Ground School – subjects for a commercial pilot licence.
  • Multi Engine Rating – if you wish to act as pilot in command of an aircraft which has more than one power-plant.
  • CPL Single Engine & CPL Multi Engine – need a PPL, Night Rating, Commercial Ground School and Exams, Hour Building, Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine rating (optional) and Commercial Pilot’s rating.
